Pro purchase from Google Play: why isn't it restored without Google Play Store
Why a Pro Purchase May Not Activate on a Phone Without Google Services
A Simple Explanation
A Pro purchase made through Google Play is stored and verified by the Google Play system. For Pro to be enabled on a new phone, the app needs to receive purchase confirmation from the Google Play Store (this is the “Google Play Store” app, sometimes referred to as the “Play Market”) on that device.
If the phone does not have Google services and Google Play Store, or if they work unstably, the app may not receive purchase confirmation. Even if you are correctly logged into your account within the app, this does not replace purchase confirmation from Google Play.
What Happens On Devices Without Google Services, Often Huawei
Many modern Huawei phones do not come with Google Mobile Services and Google Play Store pre-installed. Instead, AppGallery and Huawei services are used. In this situation, a purchase made through Google cannot be restored automatically because the phone does not have the standard Google component needed to confirm the purchase.
If Google Services Are Installed Manually
Manually installing Google services does not always yield the same result as on a regular Android device with officially installed Google Play. Outwardly, the Google Play Store may open, but purchase restoration may not always work.
Why this happens:
-
The device may not be certified for use with Google Play, and because of this, features related to security and payments may be unstable
-
The app may be installed not from Google Play, but from AppGallery or via APK, in which case Google purchase restoration often does not work correctly
-
A different Google account than the one used for the Pro purchase may be selected in the Google Play Store
-
On certain Huawei firmware, the connection between Google Play Store and Google services may work unstably, and purchase confirmation is not delivered to the app
Why This Is Not an App Error
The app cannot “enable Pro by itself.” For purchases via Google, confirmation must come specifically from Google Play on the device. If Google Play Store is missing, works unstably, or cannot confirm the purchase, the app does not receive the required status, and Pro is not activated.
What You Can Do
-
Ensure that the app is installed specifically from the Google Play Store, and not from AppGallery or via APK
-
Check that the Google Play Store is open under the same Google account that was used to purchase Pro
-
In the Google Play Store, in the “About the App” section, check the Play Protect certification status
-
Restart the phone, update the Google Play Store, check the date and time
-
After completing all actions, open the app and go to: Menu -> About PRO Version -> Payment Options, then check whether the app registered the purchase or not
Summary
Your Pro purchase is saved in Google Play. On phones without Google services, or when Google components are installed manually, Google Play Store is sometimes unable to correctly confirm the purchase. In this case, the app does not receive payment confirmation and Pro is not enabled.
